More than 150 delegates attend the 2nd Excellence in Ophthalmology™ Congress
The 2nd Excellence in Ophthalmology™ Congress took place on 2 March at The ICC, Birmingham. Chaired by Excellence in Ophthalmology™ Steering Committee member, Mrs Geeta Menon, more than 150 ophthalmologists, nurses, optometrists, photographers, orthoptists, physiologists, clinic co-ordinators and business case managers attended the congress.
Plenary sessions covered issues in commissioning services and the future of ophthalmology, and breakout workshops discussed challenges in medical retina, training options for allied healthcare professionals and the latest in imaging techniques. The congress also saw the first presentation of the Novartis and Alcon awards for Allied Healthcare Professional Projects in Eye Health.
